The Anniversary 4-Year-Old Novices’ Hurdle is one of the most prestigious novices’ hurdles races in national hunt racing. The event is run on the opening day of the Aintree Festival, and is run over a distance of 2 miles 110 yards by some of the sport’s finest 4-year-old novices. Nine hurdles are jumped during the course of the race.

The Anniversary 4-Year-Old Novices’ Hurdle is often targeted by racehorses that also competed in the Cheltenham Festival‘s Triumph Hurdle.
